{The Love of Vintage}

With all the new and beautiful primas, papers, styles, colors, accessories, ribbons, techniques, layouts etc. etc. I always seem to come back to simple and vintage.
This is a card I gave to a friend for her birthday using a stamp set she found for me for Christmas! Fun huh?!?!?
I stamped the scroll under the button vellum and attached them with the photo corners. Tried to make the ribbon look attached to the tassel stamp. Added some old buttons and lace and its feels like comfort food!
(Yes, I can usually find some comparison in cards and food!!!)

Easy & Elegant

Sadly, the flower shop where I sell cards always seems to need more sympathy cards! I'm always trying to find this balance of not being dreary but also not being overly bright.

I think with a simple layout, some patterned paper, ribbon and almost always a flower or two or three it seems to find the effect I'm looking for!

Bits & Bites!!!

Yes, I'm biting some snacks while I'm deciding how to lay out bits of leftovers from a card class. A few weeks ago I taught my first card class featuring how to use a 12 x 12 sheet to its fullest. (or use the concepts to use your scraps your clinging to and just can't throw out because you still love the paper :)

Anyway, I still had some of the bits and just really wanted to use them, so I came up with this! Add some amazing Primas, ribbon, brads and a sentiment and voila!

Oh Boy! What have I got myself into?!?!? Yes, it seems I have caught a bug! The blog bug! I have enjoyed ideas and inspiration from so many talented women out there and yes, Sherrie and Lisa, I think you have infected me! So, if I can inspire a couple of you myself I will feel like I have "payed it forward"!
